Sticking with it.

Tuesday, June 08, 2010

Well I'm on week 3 and so far its not too bad of a deal. My problem which I fully recognize is weekends. Its the only time I get to see my dear hunny and I tend to lose control not of what types of food I'm eating but portion sizes. Its hard to eat well cuz we like to eat so much during the weekends. I know I have to get that under control. See during the week its not too big of an issue cuz its just me and the kids and I can eat the right size probably cuz I'm serving them the same amount I should be eating. Hopefully I can get this under control. This weekend is going to be fun its the dear hunny's birthday. Now I realize this so I'm going to plan out a menu for this weekend and try to stick with it. Wish me luck. Prayers and encouragement are always welcome!!!! Kisses emoticon

Gwen: our thing is that is really the only time I get to eat with him at meal time cuz he's gone all week for work, 2. He eats trucker food for most of the week so I try to make a nice home cooked meal for when he is home. I figured as hard as he works he deserves a decent meal. and I don't think its the type of food, I get carried away on portion sizes. I think that's where I need to start is remembering to watch my portion sizes.

you can do it COMFORT!! here's a question for you: is there a reason WHY you and your hubby BOTH like to eat so much on the weekend??? Sometimes overeating is a sign of an emotional issue... Is there some sort of unknown elephant in the room that maybe both of you turn to food for comfort instead of talking about it? Maybe taking food out of the equation of the relationship of things you like to do as "a couple" and move toward things like going for a walk..spend a day at a park...may help more. Best of luck with this weekend.. A menu is 1/2 the battle...sticking to it is the other.. I know you can do it!
