I need help!
I keep wanting to eat and eat and eat!!
Even when I was making healthier meals..I was cutting back on portions & after I ate, I was still pretty hungry! I would drink lots of water because I heard that if you drink a big glass, it can make you feel full...and that didn't work! I have been stressed lately (personal issues) and I just turn to food. I feel like I need to eat ALL THE TIME!
Please, please, please--if anyone has any tips, suggestions, or whatever--please let me know! I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Thank you so much ladies for your advice! I am going to definitely try this again. I do understand that its hard when you first start a diet, but I believe I can do it. I need to lose this weight & I need to be healthier. Wish me luck!

Again, thank you ladies so very much! :) emoticon

I agree with all the ladies here..i always try the water....it usually does the trick. Often so well that i'm not hungry after dinner for my pm snack. But if the water isn't helping i'd recommend what Debra said. You have to make sure that your eating frequently enough throughout the day. If your not eating every 3-4 hrs you might feel like your starving when it's dinner time and want to over eat to compensate. I would try to space my meals and snacks a few hours apart. I try to have something every 3-4 hours. My after breakfast and after lunch snack are usually a fruit or a veggie, then the pm snack is usually something like popcorn or something like a few graham crackers with strawberries and fat free cool whip..something that tastes more like a desert. That way I don't feel like i'm missing out on anything...also when you do eat, eat slower. It takes your brain 15-20 mins to realize your full...so eating slowly and putting down my fork in between bites helps me. You can do this....Hope we helped! :)

After I eat and I still feel the need to go back for more I have started drinking a cup of hot green tea. There is something about the warmth that is comforting and settling. If that doesn't do the trick I eat an apple and that seems to work - even if an apple is not what I'm craving.

I just had pasta with turkey sausage in a red sauce for lunch and really wanted to go back for seconds. As I type I have a cup of green tea next to me that helped stop the craving and now that I have waited I do not want the next portion of pasta!

Good luck - I know it's hard, but try to remember the goals you are working toward!!

First... Check how many calories you need to eat daily in spark.
Second... track the foods you eat to make sure you know how many calories you are consuming...
that way you know if you are eating enough... or too much or too less.

Too much isnt good and too little isnt good also.
Its hard staying away from food.. especially when you first start on a diet.

It took me a while til i was able to control myself and i can still tell you til now... its not easy. i am still always tempted... but you have to make that decision... is that piece of cake worth it... or would u rather drop that 1 pound instead?

to really achieve your goal... only you can do this... you have to have ur mind set to it... you have to really want it from the bottom of your heart... and thru ur whole body.

THink about it... keep low cal snacks in the house that u can munch on incase u are craving something very badly...
make sure u eat 5-6 smaller meals... to keep u feeling satisfied.

to take our ur frustrations and personal issues on something... go to the gym and exercise... that is a way better way to let out stress... then to binge on food.

Good luck! keep at it... you can do this!

If at all possible - when your desire to eat is very strong (and it's not meal time), take a brisk walk. At least 15 minutes. If you are still hungry after than - go ahead and have a snack but make it healthy. Also, make sure you are getting enough protein. A lack of protein will leave you hungry. Reach for yogurt or a cheese stick. Also be sure you are eating often enough. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack, but keep it all within your daily ranges.
I hope this helps. Don't get too discouraged. You have to train your body.
