Warning! This blog may be boring for those of you without children. Sorry!

Things are looking up! For awhile now our girl seems to be getting into a semi regular sleep schedule. She is doing very well interms of sleeping through the night. Last night she slept from 10 - 4:30, then fed for 30 mins until 5:00 and then slept until 8:00 am. NO complaints!

Her days are as follows.....give or take as each day is slightly different.

8:00 - 8:30 feed
9 - 12 either nap or stroller ride followed by nap
12 - 1:00 - feed
1- 2:30 or sometimes 3:00 playtime
3:00 - 4:00 - feed
4:00 - 6:00 playtime and sometimes nap but for only 30 mins to 1 hour
6:00 - ????? feed...this can go on forever!
Bath time usually around 7-8:00 depending on feeding before hand.
8:00 - 9:00 Playtime
9:00 - 10:00 - sleepy...sometimes she is out at 9 and other days she is wide awake and wants to play and will not sleep until 10 pm.

I do not know why she like to go to bed so late. We have even tried bathing her at 6:30 but she is WIDE awake! She gets sleepy in the early evening, around 4 or so and I have tried keeping her awake but then she gets cranky. When should babies start being on a schedule? As of now, she is calling the shots. When she is hungry, I feed her. When she is tired, I let her sleep, but for how long should I continue doing this. As of now I am VERY, VERY, happy with this schedule!!!

I am enjoying learning more every day and trust me, I have a great deal to learn!!! My husband has been a dream! When I breastfeed during the night, he rubs my feet, gets me water or a snack...so sweet and instead of going to bed, most nights he lays underneath the rocker with his pillow to be close to us. One night he used one of the boppy as a pillow. It was too cute! By the way, those make a great pillow as they wrap around the neck. He has really gone out of his way to help me. My parents are coming this weekend to help out as he will be heading overseas for a few days. It is his first international trip since Michaela was born and he is already so sad to be leaving her. We are going to miss him dearly.

I am going to make the most of this time as she is napping. I never know how much longer I have to get everything done around the house.

Here are a few recent pictures of our girl from the past 2 weeks......I just LOVE taking photos of her!! I want to remember each moment. Always such fun sharing them with you all.

I love seeing all the pics - she is so cute! With my older son I wasn't working, so I let him pretty much determine his own schedule, and that worked great! With my younger son I went back to work when he was 12 weeks old, so we had to have a schedule. He adjusted just fine. Do whatever works for you!

Hey at least you have a schedule. As for night bedtime, she will work it all out for you. Lillian used to go to sleep at like 10pm also but since 4 months old her bedtime is between 7:30-8pm. She will sleep until about 6am but I leave her in the crib until 7am. Yes, she does wake up in the middle of the night but she doesn't cry. I hear her talking and then she'll just fall back to sleep. It's great.

At this point, Michaela will run the show. It's best to go by her cues and she will be a very happy baby.

It's funny when I was visiting my family over the weekend my brother said that he has never heard Lillian cry. That all ended once he held her emoticon

She's absolutely beautiful! Always love the photos and updates! My sister had a hard time getting my nephew on a schedule for the first few months. It's great that your little one has started having one this early!

more adorable photos :) -- enjoy it all as much as you can!! As for a schedule ... each parent is different as is each child... you can start to try to train her for a schedule whenever you want... or you can just let her "call the shots" as you put it! That is what I did with all of my kids.. I never really did any sort of schedule with them... now that they are a bit older and understand I am starting a bedtime routine with them (for the 2, 3 and 4 yr olds) 8pm bedtime... I started it last week when daddy was out of town and they seem to be doing well with it :)... but its COMPLETELY up to you how you want to raise your child :)
