I weigh more than you and find I am in a similar "boat," Trece, I can barely walk, and cannot stand more than a few minutes. A shower becomes very painful near the end of it. So I can feel some of your frustration.--and where do I turn in my frustration..yes, you know where it leads me.

I would appeal the Medicaid decision and perhaps apply for social security disability. I guess you are left with calorie counting and chair exercise which I understand can be very intense if done properly. God's Blessing to you Trece.

I will pray for you that you get the surgery you need for both your knee and the shoulder. That is of utmost importance. And I agree, appeal to medicaid most definitely.

Can you appeal? When I worked for a social services office in county government, I learned that it is standard for such benefits as SSD and Medicaid to be denied automatically the first time you apply. In fact, some folks have had to appeal twice to get assistance.

    ANSING has good advice.

Congratulations on the Motivator status! You are a fighter!

Appeal the Medicaid decision. Try chair exercising. And really, really watch those calories.

Congrats on being named a Motivator. And good luck!

Sorry to hear about the Medicaid decision and I am not sure what the plan off attack should be for you. But if you got to Botzzz here on SP, he blogs almost daily. He used to be over 500 pounds and has an issue with his back due to an old injury, sO he may be someone to reach out to since he once had limited mobility.

    Take care

My friend has seen great results with a nutritionist. Although you have been denied medicaid, this doctor has a reasonable fee each week and is worth a look to see if there are any in your area. She has attacked medical problems from a different perspective and are putting the medical doctors to shame. The weight is falling off and health issues are beginning to stabalize.
