Thoughts & Opinions, plz share

Ok, so I have complained about being tired of not making progress or of having a set routine so my question today is:

If doing circuit training do you keep it to upper body days and do core w/lower body or just plainly circuit train each day regardingless of area being worked.

I worry about legs becoming to sore, they have already been sore most of this week after spending 45 min jumping rope this past Sunday. Not much fat left in calf region and believe me I have felt it.

So what are your thoughts / opinions. . . .
