April 11, 2010 - Sunday. Day 101. Way to go, Phil!

Monday, April 12, 2010

Actually did watch the entire Master golf tournament today. Phil Mickelson won, 3 strokes ahead of the rest of the pack. I was in tears as he hugged his caddy, then hugged and kissed his wife (first day she'd been to the tournament).

Then did some more cleaning.

Then that night watched "The Simpsons." I needed to be able to laugh.

Then I watched the PBS presentation of "Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl." It was very well done and heart wrenching. It still defies explanation as to how our world would allow the Holocaust to take place. Not enough courageous people to stop a madman from trying to obliterate people because of their religion, their disability, their sexuality, or their ethnicity.

What I can do, is make my little corner of the world one of kindness, respect, and love to all I come into contact with.

I am one person, but I can make a difference.

We all can.

What a lovely blog, and you are so right. We cannot change what happened, but can only do our best to fight predjudice and cruelty. I hope you have a wonderful day!
