Slowing down...?

Wednesday, April 07, 2010

So I seem to have lost some of my momentum. Not terribly surprising. I get really excited about something and then lose interest. Its not that I don't want to continue losing weight. I most certainly do want to lose weight. I just am not sure I am doing everything right, since I am not consistently losing. I'm sure that's part of the weight loss process. Some weeks are good and some weeks are bad. I just want to be consistent. Even if I'm only losing a pound a week, I'm ok. Cuz at least I've made some progress. Just doesn't seem like its working like that for me.

Pity party over. Just needed to get that out of my system. I am planning on going and treadmill walking today, tomorrow and Friday. The weather has been kinda cloudy and overcast. Makes me less likely to go work out. =(

I kinda feel that way about my running. I can only run .6 miles. I read someone page today that they ran 1.75 today. They weight about 40 lbs then me. So I thought I could do at least a mile. I figure if she can do it so can I. So I went running. Again I could only do .6 miles. In the past I would just give up. But now I want to lose weight so bad I just keep at it. My new attitude is to keep at it and later I will see results. 2 weeks ago I only lost .2 lbs in a week. That made me work harder the next week. we won't loose weight every week. But try to look at it that you are not gaining weight. I have the weekend of the 17th off. I am Kristi from Shakopee. So if you want to get together for a walk let me know. Just know you are not alone.

I am fighting the motivation battle right now myself. Doing better this week, but last couple of weeks have been really hard. Hang in there!

The scale is just one way to measure progress. Do you take measurements? How are your clothes fitting? How do you feel?

I know it's difficult to keep the enthusiasm and momentum going. Keep plugging away, and it will work for you! Your body will learn that this is the new norm and respond.

You can do it and I do think we all lose our momentum from time to time. I know I have but I talk myself out of giving up and I pep talk myself into getting my momentum back. Today is a great day to start again. Put yesterday behind you and look to tomorrow good quote from a popular Fleetwood Mac song "Don't stop thinkin about tomorrow" emoticon

As long as you are trying, you are making progress.
