Vacation in Waiting

Four more days to go and I'm OFF for TWO WEEKS! emoticon
As desperately needed and much anticipated as this break is, I know that it can be a nutritional mine field.

I will be visiting with family for a couple of days, be at home for a few and then traveling to visit a friend for a little over a week. These are the situations where I know there are serious mines:

~ Road trip, alone in the car for hours
~ Unstructured, "no-plans" days at home
~ Waiting at airports

I thought naming these could be like mine markers in the "field of my vacation" so to speak emoticon If I talk about them and make some plans and commitments to report back on them, it'd help me avoid stepping on them.

I'm not worried about time with others, eating out, and such. When I'm around "normal eaters" I usually do quite ok. It is when I'm left at my own devices that things can go terribly wrong.

As I look at this - very short - list, I realized how they are all situations in which I am more or less idle, there might be boredom, or potential for boredom. Hmm... I'm doing to keep that in mind as I make my plans.

Have veggies in the ready to grab when feasible. Enjoy your vacation. It's good you are planning and preparing in advance.
