3-19-2010 - A Sunny Day

Friday, March 19, 2010

Yesterday was bright and sunny and today is suppose to be the same. DH had off yesterday and today, we did more cleaning and sorting. Had fun running errands and we will have more errands to do today. I love running around with him, we have a fun time. We are going to do more cleaning and sorting, then time to take more to donation.
I had one problem yesterday, I was hungry and wanted to eat mexican. I dont know why, but I was so tempted and at the store it was worse, but stayed good. Had a planned dinner and not mexican. Today I am going to plan out a good day.
OHOHOHOHOHOH got my new Sweating to the Oldies collection and did Sweating #1 this am, it was fun. I also ordered Coach Nicoles new DVD, it was just a treat for me, I do like having short workouts sometimes when I dont have a lot of time. Also when we go on the cruise I wanted to have DVD's to take along, I know they have a gym but no sure if I will have the spunk to go and workout. I am hoping that I will.
Right now DH is getting up and once that happens we will have breakfast and get to doing what we want to do. We have a grand daughter bday tomorrow afternoon, its going to be cake and ice cream, better than pizza. Will just make a plan for it. Oh its going to be at a skating rink, DH may go, but not me too afraid I might fall and dont want to rehurt the wrist.
Have a lovely day and weekend. Always take care of yourself for you are #1.

Hi Deb, I know that Mexican urge....why not play around in the kitchen with a healthy "re-do" of a favorite Mexican dish? Use chicken, broth, black beans, fresh cilantro, tomatoes, onions and garlic and whole wheat tortillas or corn, without frying them. Glad you're getting things done, out and about and having some fun times with family! Enjoy!

Good for you Deb, Sweatin to the oldies emoticon You can never have too many exercise dvds. I like to have a variety as my mood varies when it's time to exercise. You are going on a cruise? When & where? How exciting! I hope you have a blast. I've never been but I'd like to go on one!

Hope you had success at the grandchild's bday! emoticon

Sounds like a busy and happy weekend. Proud of you for not giving into Mexican because I think that cuisine is the hardest one to eat healthy with. You are lucky if they cook black beans besides refried but many do not. I love the guacamole which is good for you but not the chips.

Enjoy your Sweatin to the Oldies. It was a great reward for your weight loss.

It sounds like a really nice weekend ahead! Good for you! I love being with my husband too! Awesome that you are doing a cruise! When are you going and where? We did a cruise several years ago to the eastern Caribbean and loved it! Hope to go again some day. Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Birthday to your grand-daughter! Sounds like you & DH have been having a great time. Life is so good when we can do that. I hope that you are remembering to enjoy every single minute. These are the memories that we can cherish for LIFE! One of the things I like about spark people is that I am learning that changing my life and getting healthier means that I am getting HAPPIER! It's about getting the most out of every day. BRAVO to you for doing things that make you happy and make life with DH more enjoyable. Lots of love to you, Dawn emoticon

Am glad you are having success cleaning and sorting, with a willing partner. My hubby and I have different styles and it just does not work, but that is okay.

You said your granddaughter's party was going to be at the skating rink but you were not going. Is there someplace you can sit and be there for her - laugh with her, encourage her, whatever. Don't know her age or skill level - maybe they will allow you to walk in the rink and help her or her friends as they develop skills. Are there activities the rink normally does? Would they allow you to lead the kids in them while in shoes - the one that comes to my mind is the hockey poky! Kids grow so fast and time is precious - make some good memories for both of you. You would also be having a change of pace with your exercising.
    emoticon Have a fun weekend.
