A day in my life...

Thank you ALL for your Birthday wishes.
I decided to take the day off from worries and troubles and I had a wonderful day! The sun was shining, it was warm and beautiful. I took a walk down the hill, up another and back down and up with a good friend, her little daushound (sp) and one of my goldies. My friend is a good influence because she wouldn't let me stop going up the last hill. Oh my little heart!!! This just goes to show you that attitude plays a big part in this journey that we are all on.
Sooner, rather than later, I WILL walk around my block!! My block is 4.9 miles up and down very steep hills. I know it's possible because people (fit and thin people) do it all the time.
Then I went to renew my driver's license, had a new picture taken that actually looks better than four years ago! I then decided to buy a new "cheap" pair of walking shoes at Marshalls (TJ Max) until my feet get better. I need to get a really good pair and I have to find out if my insurance would cover a portion of them. I also bought myself a gardening apron because it was CUTE and DH didn't buy me anything. (That's another blog)
Then went to pick up my tax return from my accountant - Happy Birthday to me!!! Lots of $$$$$ coming back. At least it's enough to sustain us for three months.
In the evening my DH and I went to a friends house for my birthday dinner. She made a fabulous flounder, couscous to die for and a spinach salad with pine nuts and peas. And then, well, a Tiramasu - OMG! OK so the dinner wasn't on "program" but I'm guessing that the great walk we had helped to keep my BS down because this morning I woke up to a 110!!
I'm seriously thinking that this "walking" thing really does have some benefit. DUH!
I know sometimes blogs can be boring as I'm sure this one is, but I've noticed that when I do blog, I feel better. I'm guessing it's the same as journaling, but public rather than private. Yet I've shared some of my most private thoughts with some of you ladies and I so appreciate you all being here to help me get through my rough times. Thank you all for being here for me.
