ok, my DH has gone away for a week!! EVERY time he goes away something goes wrong! What is up with that? I think all things mechanical in my house are just fine until he leaves!

Usually my car breaks or has an accident but I am only driving to and from work, stops on the way home at store or mail box and THAT IS IT!

So now the house has decided to rebel. About 2 years ago we installed a new kitchen faucet. One of those fancy jobs with the pull out handle....

Well last year, 2 days before DH comes home from his heart surgery, the faucet starts leaking. His brother came a week later and fixed it for us. Maybe I should call him & see if he can tell me what to do again. Although I think it is the piping valves this time, when I try to close one of them MORE water comes out! I filled up half a cake pan in an hour!

YUCK!

So I am trying really really really hard NOT To eat! I am so stressed I want desserts. I want chocolate I want to eat anything I can make. I settled on two pieces of toast & butter and a cup of coffee. At least I am full and the stress is slowing down since I wrote this. My guess is it will come back again when I go out to check on water level again...

Ok going to go call the DH and see where to go from here... he can NEVER leave home without me again! I swear this every time he goes!

Hopefully I get this worked out so I can watch survivor then do some wii - I need get a work out besides cleaning the whole kitchen done tonight!!

There is a main water shutoff valve in your house. If things get bad with the sink, it's probably located near your water heater. You can turn off all water in the home until you get the leak fixed. You can always turn it on/off depending on if you need to shower in the am, etc. until you're able to gett he kitchen sink fixed.

Don't let this derail your momentum. You gotta be down a pound or two next week. Remember our challenge?????

Typing out our feelings always seems to help me. Seeing all those tensions in black and white always seems to make it slightly better...

called DH - he is no help so far away. He just saud to call our old neighbors....

We have plastic flexible piping, not schedule 40 hard plastic or iron. the problem is every time I try to turn off the valves they leak more. I am ready to just rip them all out!

I will turn off the main before I go to work tomorrow since we will have 26 degree weather tonight and I do not want to freeze pipes. It will be 40 tomorrow and hopefully I can get oa hold of the handy man we use a lot and he can come and I will get out of work early. here's hoping LOL

Can DH tell you how to fix it over the phone? I guess a burden shared is halved. Imagine if you had not been there what you may have come home to!! Just Wii your troubles away! Good luck.

Hang in there ... tomorrow is Friday.
This can't be worse than when your desk was leaking coffee earlier in the week emoticon

Get a bucket out and call DH.
