my yesterday and my today..

were both FABULOUS. Yesterday, went to work and was in Internal Medicine. Same suite. My "supervisor" was off, so I was paired with another MA in the same suite and we just had the best time. It was only a half day for the doctor so we saw patients until noon, got a catered lunch (olive garden - yikes!) then the rest of the day was spent doing administrative things and talking. After work, my HM training schedule said it was a rest day for me but I still wanted to work out so I ran only a mile, then did a half hour of strength training. Very mellow day for me!
Today was back in internal medicine, and my LVN "supervisor" was back! I absolutely LOVE her. She has the BEST sense of humor and she is the sweetest lady ever!! I did a LOT more today..I was rooming patients while she was doing other things, I got their vitals by myself and even was able to input some stuff in the computer under her login name. I love interacting with these older patients!! We also have younger pts too (still adults) but something about those 90 year olds is so sweet. Especially when the husband and wife come in together. We also have some crazy patients since the doctor I am working for right now is the only one in the medical group that will deal with Chronic Pain patients...which means we have quite a few patients that are addicted to their pills and I havent seen one get angry yet but I was told it definitely happens with them! So anyway, it was SUCH A GREAT DAY! And when I left to go home, they all were asking me to make sure I was coming back again tomorrow..it felt so nice to be loved by them! Such a phenominal group of ladies. They definitely are a family there and to just feel welcomed by them was/is such a blessing and really has made the week and the days just fly right by. After work, I headed to the gym (my new routine) and ran 3 miles per my training schedule. For the first mile I ran a 10 min mile then on miles 2 and 3 i got to running a 9 minute mile!!! Never been that fast in my life!! So proud! After the 3 miles though, I was TIRED! Definitely got my heart rate up. So in total it was about 30 minutes! Then I did my strength training for 20 minutes. Focused on my arms and abs today..lats, triceps, shoulder press, biceps, ab machine and captains chair! Woo! This first week of March has been fantastic so far!! Hope you all are doing wonderful as well! Love you ALL!
