not giving up

ive been on sp for just over a month now. ive been doing pretty good but last week i started feeling down, stressed and unmotivated again. there were 3 days last week where i felt like i had a whole in my stomach and found myself mindlessly stuffing my face. i think i was also discouraged because at my previous weigh in, i "only" lost 2oz. i really shoulve focused on that as a positive change but instead i let it get to me. i weighed myself this morning and i have not gained any weight back which makes me pretty happy. i didnt lose weight but i know now that thats ok. thats still a good thing and altho i spent all week eating , i still excercised and drank my water every day. and this too i know is a very important positive change. i really am greatful for the wonderful support ive recieved on SP during a most difficult week emoticon emoticon

    You're doing great--as you said, you're exercising and drinking your water, which is awesome, and so important. I had a challenging weekend, but I told myself I was just going to keep going and do what I've been doing...and I'm seeing progress again. I'm here for you!

    Must have been something in the air this week! Last night I felt like I was starving! Don't know why that happened, but hoping it doesn't happen very often. Keep it going and you will lose weight. I have lost 40 pounds in 7 months, some weeks my weight stayed the same or even went up a pound, but I kept at it, you can do it too!

    Keep up your spirits as you keep to your plan. Make sure you measure areas of your body. The scale can tell you if you are holding water or loosing excess fat. This same device cannot distinguish between fat and muscle. Watch your intake too. You actually may not be eating enough to lose weight. This happened to me and I had to add 600 calories per day back to my nutrition intake (that is more than a whole meal!).

    This is life long health - you will jump back and forth as you become more healthy. Don't let this small set back change the way you are doing things. There is an article about this, I think it's called two steps forward 1 step back. Look for it on the site.
