I always wondered how much stress plays a toll on weight loss?? I feel I am stressed all the time and no way to get out of it. Today the daycare kids are dropped off and BOTH had rough nights. Neither one of them sleep well all night. The 18 month old was up from 1am-4am and the baby was up every 2 hours. SHe normally sleeps through the night. YIKES!!!! Plus having my TOM all I want to do is eat CHOCOLATE!!! Is that considered stress??? I was debating about going to the gym but figured I needed it after today's outcome. The icing on the cake was my son........he was awful today. Didn't listen to a thing I said. He got put to his room twice before 11am and lost 2 toys. He just kept yelling and throwing a fit, hitting his sister and being mean to the other kids. I was at wit ends. I was trying to get my hubby to take him with him for errands to get him out of the house but my hubby didn't want the brat. I thought a change of environment would do him good. My hubby doesn't like it when I make him take a kid with him on errands. I think it is good to separate the twins once in awhile. Okay that is it.

Stress can play a big part in a persons ability to lose weight. When a person is stressed their body releases the fight/flight hormone that is released when a person is scared or in danger. This hormone prepares the body for this stressful situation but under stress the hormone doesn't get used as it does in a danger situation so then your body holds it and you put on weight.

I know how it feels to be under stress and have gained a lot of weight because of it. Eating also plays into the weight gain but even when eating properly and under stress a person can gain weight.

Good luck on your weight loss and reducing your stress. Take care and keep up the hard work. You can do it.

Sounds like you've had a rough day. I can sympathize with you wanting to separate the twins once in a while - even they appreciate it! Glad you went to the gym, that is a great stress reliever!
