Year of bad health...

Thursday, February 18, 2010

So far 2010 is not shaping up to be a very good year in terms of my health.

I've lost a good amount of weight (I'm at half way... YAY!!) but, everything else seems to be falling apart.

So far this year I've been in the ER for abdominal pain, followed by two follow-up visits to various dr's (with a third scheduled for Monday), I got plowed under by a cold and had 2 dr visits for that, and now, just as I'm getting over the cold, I woke up this morning with what I think is going to turn out to be pink eye or something similar.

I'm not giving up on having a good year -- a lot of really wonderful things have already happened! Still, I'm beginning to get the feeling that the great things ahead are going to be tempered by a bunch of health crap.

On the brightside, I guess I'm going to have my deductible paid off early... At the same time, I'm so sick of being sick!!! ARG!!!!!!

Sorry, just needed to vent a little... I feel emotionally better now...

been there, done that. I have been in and out of the hospital over 6 times since october 2009 so i feel your pain. It all started with a hysterectomy that went wrong and then stomach pains, chest pains, you name it. I am almost done with the doctors so i know what you are going through. In spite of it all I managed to lose 50 lbs so it can be done. Hang in there, this time you will achieve all your goals. emoticon

I've been more sick in the past month than I was during the entirety of 2009. It's a sickly year for some reason. But stay with the positive! You're losing weight and that's such a positive thing!!!

It is always good to talk/share with your friends. And don't worry there are many more good months ahead. Take slow steady steps and never overdo yourself. Progress is more important than perfection. There are bad days & good days. emoticon

On the bright side of things it doesn't sound like anything serious so be thankful for that. It can be very frustrating to be sick all the time or fighting with being sick. I know the feeling. But things will get better. Drink your fluids and get plenty of rest and try to keep stress down to a minimum. Hope you feel better soon!!!! emoticon
