Just hanging by a thread

Here it is Wednesday and I've done nothing this week towards any goals. It's all I can do to make it thru the day at work. Then it's home and into the recliner. I start yawning at 7:00 and I'm falling asleep before 9:00pm. I'd be in bed now if I didn't get online to update Spark.

I know diet and lack of exercise is playing a huge roll in this deep spiral I'm in. I feel like I'm falling and there's no bottom. No end in sight. I keep telling myself spring is just around the corner. Hang on. Will it help? Only time will tell.

In the meantime, I've signed up for an evening water class on Monday and Wednesday. Actually 2 on Monday 6:15-7:00 and 7:00-7:45. Wednesday at 7:00-7:45.

Driving to Nashville and back Sunday. Not my favorite thing to do but my baby sister wants to come home for a visit. She needs me to take her home so my friend Colleen is going to ride with me so I don't have to ride back by myself. Not that I haven't done and will in all probability do it again. Just not my favorite thing to do.

    I've been dealing with sleep problems all my adult life. I realize now, that a great deal of it was inactivity. But now I am at the other side of the coin. I don't have enough hours in the day to do all that I need to do much less what I want to do. I had to take all of today off and just nap between meals.

    Hmmmm...that sounds familiar. Sitting in the recliner...but me having a cup of coffee and after 5 minutes falling asleep. Feeling draggy. But now after on the nutional program I feel better and I can bend over without feeling a band around my middle. I haven't lost much weight but I do feel loss in other areas. I'm just going to keep on plugging away and keep moving. The weight has got to come off sometime! We WILL get there!!! emoticon

    I love the comments you've gotten. Just want to add one......maybe you need to check your Vitamin D level in your blood. When I found out I was so deficient, I was surprised because I do take a multivitamin. Now my doctor told me to take 2000 mg a day, as I'm past menopause and have trouble keeping my calcium supplements up. A good physical might give you some more information on why you're so exhausted. Just take care and keep logging on to SP. i did love water aerobics and we spent so much time chatting that it went by quickly. Good luck! emoticon

    first off...WTG on signing up for water classes...that's a great step in the right direction.

    ok...you're in a slump, we've all been there. in my experience the hardest thing about this journey is getting back on track, but it can be done or there'd be no success stories. so girlfriend there is a light at the end of the tunnel. for now focus on small things you can do. get your water in, make healthy food choices, adequate sleep, etc. progress is progress.

    you know the most beautiful outfits in the word all start as just thread....it is all in how you look at it!

    Tomorrow is a new day and a new row of stitching is laid down...doesn't matter what yesterday looked like...it all comes together into a beautiful woven tapestry of life.

    When you wake up you will be told of this reply to your blog...and you will smile and be excited about your day! I bet you park your car farther away so you can walk more, you eat smaller portions and drink your water....so you are making changes and your body is telling you thank you! You are likely tired becuase your body feels good enough to catch up on the sleep debt it has been carrying around for years...so sleep! Know that your body needs to rest and recover so it can work harder for you tomorrow!

    Live life excited to be a "just a thread" weaving a beautiful cloth! Drive safe to nashville and enjoy the conversation with your friend! Maybe you will find a cool trail head along the way to go for a brisk walk out of the ordinary too!

    Alright girl we've all been there. Too tired to go to the gym or focus on what it is we need to do to get where we want to be. It's tough but some days you have to MAKE yourself get up and go. You'll be glad you did once you do! Just get up and do 20 minutes today and tomorrow you'll have the energy to do 30 minutes. The rewards will be worth it and once you get into it, you won't want to stop!
