Bingeing on Texas Pecan

Monday, February 08, 2010

In my defence I will say that I tried to phone an OA-friend first and she did not answer. I had no ida when I walked into the store that I would buy a can of Texas Pecan - I knew that I was going to look for a smaller size of an icecream also with Pecan nuts... they were not there and theen I gave in to the Texas Pecan and brought it to my office.

I searched the place for a spoon - was not there! Used a piece of steele that is supposed to kep a photo upright on my desk....

Another day destroyd...but wait! They have started to declare nutrition even on icecreams! I discovered that if I had not had 70gr of mixed nuts as snack before lunch I would have stayed in my calorie range even with that icecream as my meals for today is ground beef with cabbage simmered in ajvar relish. Interesting, this realization makees me accountable for not going on a major binge tonight "because I spoiled it anyway..."

I have a hard time with myself and my life. I go to a lot of twelvestep meetings and I get by - but it is not easy!

COngrats! I have so been in that binge spot before as well. When even your fingers will suffice as long as that yummy hooey food gets in your mouth and makes you feel better. It is why we daclare we are on a journey for the rest of our lives and not just to lose weight (well fo me anyway!).

Good for you for arranging the rest of your day to amke up for the binge! A step forward! emoticon

Congratulations, it would have been so easy to give in for the day! And know you have the tools and support here when you can't reach someone in person...

Good for you for catching yourself before giving up and binging. I also find it hard to get back on track after giving in to one of my weaknesses. Good luck with the rest of your day.
