What will you be notorious for?

Thursday, February 04, 2010

What will you be notorious for? Will it be for your ever present smile? Your keen ability to know when others need a shoulder to lean on? I've been in a reflective mood for a few days and I started wondering about how others see me (beyond the obvious physical features...dark hair...brown eyes...). Do they think me kind? Am I a good friend? Or, am I grumpy all the time? Do I take time to notice the details - those small things in life that mean so much - especially when they're gone? I've decided that I have some serious self-evaluation to do. I have many changes to be made. I have new goals to set (or revisit).
And beyond that...who am I really? ...but that's set to be another blog at another time...

    Hey Kim,

Enjoyed your blog. Thought provoking indeed and it gets me wondering. Hmmmm. Sometimes I think I dwell too much on how others perceive me. I think it keeps me shy and yet comfortable. It's when I am uncomfortable that I step outside my box and try new things and dream big.

great blog....i wonder the same things about myself sometimes. how do others see me? i think that is important, but what i think is more important is...how do i see myself? i've realized that, for me, it doesnt matter how others see me until i've learned to really love who i am...im working on that.

I'm a gospel singer and one of the songs I used to perform was called "When all is said and done" and the gist is exactly what you have described in your blog. The thought makes you consider the effect you have on others and hopefully makes you want to rise higher than circumstances and see the long term view.
    Good post! keep Sparkin'!!!
