Today is Sunday, January 24th. My back is not feeling so good and I even had a massage yesterday which did feel wonderful but the lower back is really taking a while to heal. Despite one of my many aches and pains...(seems to be more and more each year...ugghhh) I am still pumped for the journey in 2010 to get healthy...lose weight....and get in shape....AND...even be a better person than I was in years before. We all have room for improvement in these areas because we are not perfect. I'm not striving for perfection just to be better.
If I can CHANGE my MIND....my BRAIN....I can change my behaviors that have gotten me where I am today....FAT and OUT OF SHAPE. But I will say some medications taken years back did help to contribute to this but...ultimately....I still have some mind changes to make! I think once you do this....stay focus which Sparkpeople really does help you with this....you can't do anything but improve.
Some of my tools that I have bought or incorporated to help me with this journey are:
My Family Y membership (reasonable monthly fee for my two boys and me-$40 a month)
1-They open up at 5am and close at 9am. (No excuses of finding
2-Clean, spacious, and neat facility
3-Loads of free classes to participate in
4-Plenty of equipment to use
5-Close to my house and work (again...no excuses)
Biggest Loser Cardio DVD by Jillian Michaels
1-The days I can't go out or don't feel like going to the Y...I have a
dvd to use in the comfort of my own home. (Again...no excuses)

So........I have no excuses....NONE!! And now after reading Annie's latest blog about pedometers....I'm buying one of those too!
