TAKING MY SPACE BACK.

Thursday, January 07, 2010

To many things got in the way over holidays throwing me way off track. Now I am having trouble getting back into the swing of things.
I moved the treadmill to the bedroom to make room for the Christmas tree and that was a big mistake. My husband decided to go lay in that bedroom off and on all day instead of the one he normally sleeps in. So I couldn't do my walking. If I leave the room for 2 minutes he tries to take it over. He never did this till I moved my treadmill in there. I have only walked 1 time this week/ year and had to go turn the tv on and the volume up and get on the treadmill before he would get out of the way.
I moved the stairs from this room and made it larger last summer so I could have use of the room and I will not let him take it over.
I must get back to my diet and exercise so I guess the war is on again.
New Plan
1. I will not let anyone including husband stand between me and my exercise.
2. I will not let anyone keep me from my spring water.
(Husband complains I will drive us into the poor house buying bottled water. ) I will not drink this city water seeing how it destroys coffee pots even after being filtered. A couple days ago I saw my husband get a bottle of spring water out of the case he drank it the poured the filtered water in it. I watched as he twisted the lid eyeballing the lid and trying to make it look as though it had never been opened and put it in the fridge.
Water is the only drink I buy for myself yet he complains. He always has several drinks which includes beer, mountain dew, orange juice, tea, coffee, milk, tomato juice, v-8 and gatorade and my water yet complains about me buying water. May have to put a muzzle on him. LOL
3. TAKE MY SPACE BACK.
If I stick to these 3 things I think I can get back on track starting tomorrow treadmill room will be used by me regardless of who might be sleeping in there. And the volume of the radio or tv will be twice as loud if anyone is in my space.

YOu are worth it! Keep on trekking!

We also moved our exercise bike out of the room for the Christmas tree, and it has yet to re-appear. I think I might insist upon it showing back up within the next week . . .

I missed you, Gloria. I am happy to hear you are taking your space back. I know you walk many miles a day, and it is too cold to be doing that outside. We have really horrible water in town, too. I buy drinking water by the gallon at Walmart. They have spring water that way, too. Daddy really likes it.

    Hang in there!

Sometimes, we aught to strangle them. My DH and I fight over his bed hogging and facing my back with his CPAP machine. It blows cold air on my back. He'll put his head on his side and angle his behind on my side.--PJ

Why don't you invest in a water distiller? We have had ours for at least 5 years and it's still going strong. Ours distills a gal. of water from the tap in about 4 hours. It takes EVERYTHING out of the water, just pure, clean water is what's left. emoticon

Stand your ground and take back what is rightfully yours! I'd fill his bottles with that nasty water a time or two maybe he'll get the hint. I gained 3 lbs over Christmas & just seem to be yoyoing with thse 3 lbs regardless the efforts I put into getting rid of them.

Sounds like a great plan to take it back. Blare that tv/radio and get to moving.
