Calling all Liquid Dieters!! Please Help...

Im currently on a plan called New Lifestyle Diet which allows 7 100-120 calorie meal replacement shakes, bars, soups, or snacks. This is paired with a "lean and Green" meal in the evening (or whenever you want your meal) Totaling at 1080 calories per day give or take a couple. My problem is that Im not able to get all of these products in during the day. My job prohibits me from eating every 2-3 hours as Im in surgery all day. So I know there are alot of medifasters out there...you guys get to have 5 products per day and a lean and green meal as well...Im wondering if I could just use my NLD program in the same was as medifast works. Have my five replacements per day and my lean and green in the evening. There is not a calorie difference in the supplements and it seems all the other nutrients would be there for me....just less overall calorie intake in a day...Im just not sure what to do. Would I lose at the same rate? Maybe even faster with less calorie intake as if Im on medifast? Anyone else out there on this diet? Your input would be so very much appreciated!

    I was looking into the New Lifestyle program as well, thinking I would like to have 7 meals plus my lean and green; however I've been using Medifast since 2006 and the more I read about it from 2 books that are currently out, the more I'm reminded not to stray from what I know works for me.

    I'm not familiar with the New Lifestyle product line or nutritional profiles, but if that is the plan you are using, maybe you could combine 2 of the same products together such as a chocolate shake 2x per day so you are still getting the nutritional profile they recommend on their plan with the 7 meals replacements each day. It is important to eat at least 6x per day while following the lower calorie levels of meal replacements to keep your blood sugar levels stable, while continuing to help your body keep metabolism and the fat burning mode on high. I would think as long as you can get in your meal every 3 hours you should do well. I have my meals every 2 hours basically, but every 2-3 hours is suggested.

    I myself have 5-6 Medifast meals each day, plus my lean and green and lost 5 lbs. my first day back on plan and am feeling great! If you ever need help or encouragement let me know - the efforts pay off greatly with faster results to keep us motivated, and yet maintaining muscle retention and optimal nutrition. For me meal replacements ARE a lifestyle choice I will always make! You're doing great!
