My Most Memorable Christmas Memory!

Thursday, December 24, 2009

So what is your most memorable Christmas memory from years gone by?

Many, many years ago when I was still in grade school and both my grandparents were alive and still living on Hilda Place, a deadend street by Victoria Park (where we plan on taking our walk tonight) and where I grew up for the first seven years of my life, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for Christmas Eve, as we did every Christmas Eve.

It was a clear sky, the stars were shining extremely bright as I got out of the back seat of the car, that my father had just parked in front of the house.

The night was so still, just like a silent night. I looked up into the sky at the stars and out of nowhere it started to snow these big, fluffy flakes as I stood on the street breathing in the crisp night air, looking at the full moon in the clear sky and was lost in the moment, then I heard me Dad call my name and ask me if I was coming in.

Away I went into my grandparents home, where there was all kinds of family already and house was just bussing with excitement.

That is my most favourite Christmas moment of all!

Awww what a nice moment that was.
I guess mine would be when I was about 6 and mom had told me that Santa probably wouldn't be finding us this year. We had moved into My Nannies basement. Then on Christmas Eve these nice people from the church brought us a big basket with presents and food in it. I even got a doll. What a wonderful Christmas that was.

The other really memorable Christmas was the time I put my mothers name on all the gifts that were under the tree so my kids wouldn't open their gifts before christmas. hee hee And it worked. ROFLMBO... The kids couldn't believe I had got one over on them. The little sneaks. LOL

    Thanks Anne!

    Merry Christmas...
