My Goals for 2010

Thursday, December 17, 2009

This last month I have been giving serious thought about what I want to accomplish in 2010. I have made many changes in life this last year – all for the better. I need to keep progressing …. no going back.

What positive steps am I going to take to make ME a better person in 2010? What attainable, realistic goals can I set for myself? What is my plan of action? (GOYAAM plan for 2010).

I want to lose 50 to 100 pounds in 2010. I am tired of being tired. My knees hurt, my back hurts. This weight is making me old on the outside and that does not match what is going on internally. I am a young(ish), fabulous, newly married woman! I CAN DO THIS.

Ok. So how am I going to do this?

I promise myself I am going to do some type of exercise daily and track my progress.
(EVERDAY: meaning Sunday thru Saturday. Off the couch, both feet moving and doing something!)
I promise myself I am going to going to log my food.
I promise myself I am going to eat clean.
I promise myself I am going to take my vitamins.

Other goals for 2010 to make ME a better person:

I promise myself I am going to de-clutter my house and get rid of things I haven’t used in years.
I promise myself I am going to take the necessary steps to pay off the credit card.
I promise myself I am going to learn to make soap.
I promise myself I am going to be more understanding of some people.

The time for change is now. I can do these!!

What are your goals for the new year??

Sorry so late, but still playing holiday catchup. emoticon

Love your goals! Some reminded me of tiny victories I have already had but often forget (like taking my vitamins more regularly than I ever have managed before) and of some outside of physical health that I need to focus on as well, like decluttering our apartment and spending more time on ME, reading and perhaps making more jewelry. Making soap also is a GREAT idea. I've often wanted to learn that and candle making.

So wow, good for you! A woman with a plan is a force to be reckoned with. emoticon

    Good job on the goals!!

I don't make goals for myself. Or correction, if I do, I don't do them around New Years. Because then I start to call them Resolutions and those always fail. Instead my whole thing is taking it one day at a time because I know a majority of the time, if I'm beating myself up, I'll fail. But if I tell myself, "Meh, tomorrow's another day," then I feel better about it AND myself and have better days. :)

Boy, when you say there's no going back you mean it. WTG for getting your goals in place long before the beginning of the year. Everything you've listed looks like a wonderful way to empower yourself. I'll be thinking of you along this year's journey!!!

LOL Steph!! Yeah there are 'some' people in my life that I have ZERO patience with. I mean NONE. I didn't want to name them specifically.

    Love the goals!!!

This one cracked me up: "be more understanding of some people"

    Just _some_ people? LOL!!!

You can do it!!! I belive in you!

You deserve to be energetic, full of life and live a clutter and debt free existance!

These are more than resolutions! They are part of the amazing revolution going on in your life!!! Keep the momentum going by doing SOMETHING every day that gets you closer to your goals.

    You go girl!!!

Wow, now that's a lot of resolution. Congratulations on recognizing the things you want to set for yourself. Now it's time to plan out how you're going to do it. The thought is awesome but without a plan of action, daily mundane distractions can suck what you want to accomplish. I've learned this the hard way.

Good luck and if needed, we're all here to help support and motivate you in reaching your ultimate goals.
