Pain no gain

True to my usual form, I haven't been tracking well here. I HAVE been exercising more, though! As you can see by my status today, maybe it's been too much. I brought my 5 lb. weights to work with me since it's dark after work now and I thought it would help to spread the reps out over the entire day at work. I've been doing a couple of sets of an upper, core and lower body exercise 3 X a day as well as taking a 1/2 hr. walk at lunch time. My muscles have been sore, not unbearable and I felt that was a good sign. With working on a computer all day, it might have been too much for my back, especially the upper right, shoulders and neck. I do have 1 pounders, so maybe I'll switch to those after I recover. I was on the heating pad and muscle relaxers all day yesterday. I'm not going to give up though! My work did show up in a lb. or two weight loss, but then it was back up again, so that's frustrating. Oh well, gonna keep on pluggin' away.

    Thanks everybody! Back is a little better today. Doing lots of stretching and being much more strict on eating since I'm still resting it.

    I'm with the gals that say go by the fit of your clothes. And switching to a lower weight sounds like a good idea. No sense in injuring yourself so you have to stop exercising altother. Good work, Deb!

    Good plan honey – I go by my clothes as I don’t like to be disheartened by one day up and one day down.

    Like Della, my scale varies ALOT. It's how you feel and how your clothes fit that counts. Keep going!! If 5 pounds is too much go back to 1. Also, strength train every other day. You need to give your muscles time to recover.

    Don't you worry about that scale taking back those pounds you lost. I loose one day and then the scales will show 1-3 lb weight difference on any given morning. Once you have LOST it is GONE until you eat 3500 calories to = one pound.
    You'll get used to it's lies and know that eventually you will come back down. (Then you start the whole thing over again each time you loose. lol )
