Keeping on keeping on

Friday, November 13, 2009

I am happy to report that I had a .4 lb loss this morning. I had "burger crumbles" as my protein for both lunch and dinner.

Friday is grocery shopping day. I forgot to eat before going to the store and the smells were just driving me crazy. I had considered getting fried chicken for the kids to eat for dinner, but then I decided I may not be able to resist and start eating it on the way home. So it is still in the store. I'm making ginger garlic tilapia and spinach & strawberry salad for dinner instead.

Friday night dinner is always a big deal, so I want a meal that we will all eat as a family. I'll probably add a course of miso soup. I'll add pasta to the kids soup & miracle noodles to mine.

Getting hungry just thinking about it. I guess it's time to make lunch.

It's easy for me to resist the samples when they are cooking them there in the store, because I know it isn't kosher. However, when they were passing out samples of Pirate Booty, I had to avoid that aisle. I didn't even go by the table for the coupons to use later.

Way to stay strong at the store!!! I can look at any food and not have a problem but once I get a whiff of it I have the hardest time resisting! What is it about the smells?

I am so glad to see others sitting down to family time too. Eating at the table...all of us...is a big thing here too. It takes work to make it happen but it sure is worth it.

You did great by knowing your temptations and leaving the chicken behind!

    Have a great weekend!
    Hugs,
    Kammy
