Why November is so important

I had my monthly weigh it today and I lost 12 lbs the month of October! This puts me at 27 lbs lost with 53 more to go. I was very happy this morning. However, after battling my weight for the past 12 yrs I recognize that this is the point where I normally lose steam and gradually begin to gain everything back. I am fighting tooth and nail to block out the past and concentrate on the future! I am determined NOT to gain the weight back this time. Blogging about this really helps.
I am down to 182 lbs today. If I can lose 9 lbs this month it will but me at 173 which will be the lightest I have been in 12 yrs! In my past attempts of losing weight I have one very vague memory of getting as low as 174 after starving and dehydrating myself for a few days. My motivation this month is going to be the thought that I can get down to 173 by eating a healthy diet of 1200-1400 calories every day and exercising. I feel like if I can overcome this "hump" then it will get a bit easier for me.
