Documenting weightloss in pictures

Sunday, October 18, 2009

I fit into an outfit for church today that I just loved:

I think it has been 2 years since I last wore this. I just love the silky blue top. It is one of my favorites. It is a 14/16 from Lane Bryant. The pants are size 3 Right Fit from LB. I love this picture of me too as I can see that I have made some progress over the past month and a half. I think if I would have been a pound or two heavier I would have been busting right out of it. Right now I am preferring to wear clothes that are on the snug side as opposed to baggy clothes. It's making me feel pretty good!!! Next time I wear this top or these pants they should be feeling just a tad bit bigger. I do have to say, though, I am not digging the long hair on me. My goal for when I hit 169 is to get a cute short haircut. It's a huge motivator for me!!! I can't wait for that day to get here. In the mean time I will keep plugging away at this diet and exercise.

I think I have become obsessed with documenting my weightloss journey through pictures. My boys are already becoming irritated with me because I have been hounding them to take my picture all of the time. Oh well... I am the Mom and they do what I say if they want their video game time, lol... But as I was searching for pics from "before" I didn't find too many. I found a few good ones of me over 200#s but in most of my old pictures I am making sure there is something in front of me and my big belly. I DO NOT want to have to do that anymore. I want to be the center of these pics with my good looking family!!! I love to scrapbook and it makes me sad that that there are very few pictures of me...

I can't stand to see pictures of myself, looking the way I do. It's sad cause I have so few pictures of myself cause I don't like it. I think it's great that you are doing this. May be I will have the courage to do the same? emoticon
