Today i ate a Quarter pounder with cheese and small fries for lunch. i was with DH. I really thought i messed up but when i put all the food i ate into the tracker today it was ok. I really was hungry, when i was sitting and waiting for him at his appt with the eye doctor my stomach was growling and the hamburger sounded so good. I don't eat fast food that often and when i do i usually have a kid's meal. BUT I WAS REALLY HUNGRY TODAY. AND MY BODY WANTED A HAMBURGER AND FRIES.... I did a a2 hour workout this morning i guess the oatmeal just didn't stick to the ribs this time. but i did not snack at all today was busy with dr's appts for dh. you can go to my food tracker and see just what i ate today. I am not going to lie because then i lying to myself. Also on my Spage Photo gallery you can look at the picture i call my A picture is worth a thousand words. Today i feel really good about myself. I learned that we can eat a little bad but also stay in our calorie range. When you continue to do these
you can eat a little bad once in a long while. MODERATION IS THE KEY WORD.
and you know my friend it isn't that one meal that puts it on it's the day to day stuff where you don't watch every day i never met a piece of birthday cake and ice cream that would put weight on you now doing it everyday that is cause for concern so ride with it my friend you know where you are for sure love and hugs the lady mary 4193 days ago
you are spot on! i have learned that if you do everything 90% right, there is room for a little "no-no" once in a while. What is really damaging is when I read stuff like - i ate a cookie today and i feel soooo guilty i guess i'll throw myself under the bus and take 2 weeks before i can step foot in the gym ... yada yada yada. moderation is the key, i dont wrestle with cravings anymore when i simply learned to recognize food for what it is. if i want a hamburger (which isnt often), i have the liberty to get one, only realize how much that burger is worth, do you want to spend your "calories" on something that will cost you 400 calories or do you want to make another choice that will cost less. usually that will stop it right there but if i want one - i get it, enjoy it and then move on to the gym!
You are so right!!! Moderation is the key. Good job in getting your workout in and for tracking your food. A little "bad" food once in awhile I think helps us stop feeling deprived and wanting to stuff our face with pizza 4194 days ago
