I wanted to choose Cocoa and a book, instead I walked.

It was cold and foggy this morning when I took my kids to the early bird classes. I wanted not to go on my walk. I wanted to stay home and read with a cup of cocoa. Doesn't that sound like fun?

Well, I went and did my morning walk. We are getting faster and are going to have to add another loop to keep our walks the same amount of time. That is fun. I get more than 10,000 steps when I walk in the morning. I am so happy about it.

When I got done I felt glad that I had walked. I was listening to a podcast about weight loss yesterday. It said that in people that are heavy have something that needs to be done in their lives. When that is found and done then the weight comes off easy. I don't exactly know what that is. Sometimes I don't think I take good enough care of myself and my home. I wish I had more time for myself. But, at the same time i love being a mom and all the business that involves. I am learning that I feel better on the days that I get things done and take care of business. I am still working this week to do my routine whether I feel like it or not.

I am trying to make new choices.

    Great choice ! I understand about wanting more time to yourself, I have that same issue, but at the same time i don't want to miss any major events in my kids lives, ah the balancing act. Hang in there, it will get easier with time.

    Good for you. You will be so glad you did. I feel so much better on the days I get exercise. I'm still not up for it today though. I do feel better in the chest region but am nausous and whiped out still. On top of that dhs car broke down today and we may have to get him a new one. We hate buying new cars.

    Learning to exercise whether I feel like it or not has been a challenge for me, too, but I never regret exercising! I have learned to plan my day around my highest priorities and exercise is one of them. When motivation is lacking, I purpose not to dwell on how I'm feeling but just get out and do it. If I let my feelings dictate my behavior, well, ...I won't accomplish much!
