I passed up the fries and other junk today.

I was able to so "NO" to the junk food today. I stayed away from the vending machine. I picked up a 6" turkey from Subway. Turkey, lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, spinach, american cheese on wheat. No sauces. Why do they look at you silly when you say no to any sauces? Who wants to use the extra calories on mayo? I grabbed a bag of Baked lays original chips and unsweet ice tea.
I wanted to stop by Sonic and grab an ice cream cone after work but keeped right on going. Even though it would have tasted good at the time did I really need it or want it? Was there something else I needed worse? I headed on over to the location we were meeting at for 1/2 marathon training and got in 4 miles instead.
Afterwards I stopped by McD's to pick up #2 son something to tie him over till he got home from work. He didn't take anything to eat for lunch. I grabbed him a cheeseburger, fries and coke. I PASSED up sneaking a fry or two or more and NO sips of the coke. It was hard. I could smell the french fries through the bag. But I perserved and waited until I got home to eat dinner.
Just got back from Wally World were I bought more fruit to take to work. I have to pass by a big bowl of candy many times during the day. It has my favorites...toostie rolls, kit kats, double bubble gum.
I'm feeling there isn't anything I can't do. I just have to believe and push on.
