Not Happy!!!!

Thursday, September 24, 2009

Yesterday when i weighted myself i lost 1.5 pds was happy. I have been watching and tracking both fitness and nutrition and thinking i was doing the right thing. Well this morning i got on the scale and i gained some of the weight i lost back. I have been really watching what i eat and exercising. But HOW MUCH EXERCISE MUST I DO TO LOSE THE WEIGHT. I'm very discouraged by this. What else can i do to lose this weight???????? My mood right now is I QUIT, DISGUSTED AND NOT HAPPY WITH MYSELF. I have a bar of Dark Chocolate in my freezer and have not been tempted to eat it. but after this morning i just might EAT THE CANDY. Seems like nothing is working. I do alot of exercising why can't i lose weight??????

I see others that have lost 4-6 pds and i can't even lose 2pds at one time. So i can't be doing something right. I eat no more than 1300 calories a day. maybe i need to eat less.????? I will not eat the chocolate bar in the freezer. I guess i just have to really put out more effort. I may add the Elipitical Trainer to the other exercises i do.

Don't weigh yourself everday, feel the loss in your body, water weight is a destroyer of confidence, don't let it win.

You can do this, just keep posting here to see how much everyone cares about you.

If you really wanted to quit you wouldn't have written the blog, you can do it!!!!!!!!!

get your water bottle out and start drinking it's not the diet and quit weighing yourself everyday what are you trying to prove by that?? i personally only weigh when i go to the doc and i am always surprised..this isn't the day to day weigh that counts what counts is that you continue to do HEALTHY not to weigh holy moly you KNOW better than that you need to hang out from that scale for a few weeks you know how to do this without weighing you really do now for sure ask your husband to take it to work with him for a few weeks or keep it out of sight and just concentrate on what you know to be right water exercise and portion control you can do it and i am here for you love and hugs the lady mary emoticon

Pick one day of the week (or month) to weigh yourself officially. You can get on the scales to keep an eye on things, but don't obsess over it. Your weight can fluctuate so much from day to day for a lot of different reasons. Hormones have a lot to do with it. So does salt intake and amount of exercise. I always gain a couple of lbs. the day after a big bike ride. It really bothered me at first, but now that I know, I just don't get on the scale for a few days.
I don't know your calorie intake, but if it is too low for the exercise your are doing, your body goes into starvation mode and grabs any calories and holds on to them.

I just don't know is it that i'm eating the wrong foods??? I guess i need to just stay away from the scale for awhile and let my clothes be the judge. It's just so frustrating to work so hard and watch every thing you put into your mouth and still no real pds come off. Why can't i hit those big #'s when i get on the scale. I try to stay with in range of my calorie allotment but it doesn't seem to help. I exercise everyday in the morning and ride bikes in the evening at a 8 mph speed but it just isn't working. Anyone have any suggestions about what foods i should or should not eat.

When you exercise, you retain water within the muscle fibers. It does go away, with a body that is better capable and utilizes high quality calories better.

You and I both know that giving up isn't the road to success.

Breathe, continue on. This is a lifestyle, not a manipulation of our bodys.

    Hugs and hang tough

Take heart and don't give in. Please don't forget that everyone's weight will fluctuate from day to day, up to 3 lbs plus or minus! Try to stay away from the scale and weigh yourself once a week or even less often. (I weigh bi-weekly). Use your clothes as a guide. I have one pair of denim shorts that are slowly getting easier to button and zip up. They are still tight, but I don't have to lie down and hold my breath any more. Scales are evil, and don't always tell the whole story. emoticon

Listen,The SAME thing just happened to me. I exercised EVERY SINGLE DAY for two months and NOTHING. Then, just this week and a half alone BAMM. The scale moves down seven pounds.

Don't quit. Don't cave in. DON'T GIVE UP. If it happened to me it can happen for you too.

God bless. You can do this. M.
