Just finished When a Crocodile Eats the Sun - a memoir of Africa, by Peter Godwin. Good, but horrifying in its depiction of a corrupt government in Zimbabwe.
I'm about two-thirds through The Man Who Loved China, by Simon Winchester. Some of it is fascinating, but other parts are just dull. It's taking a long time to read this one.
Barely started Coventry, by Helen Humphreys. Lovely prose, gripping story of England during the two World Wars. Canadian writer that I was sure I had read before - sure enough, a search back through my book journal shows me enjoying The Lost Garden back in 2003.
