Rough week

Sunday, September 13, 2009

I'm sure my teams have noticed that I haven't really been active at all this week here on SP. I've had problems with my right foot-extreme pain with weightbearing-the xrays showed normal, but for a few days it hurt like heck-which caused me to do very little walking & a missed day at work. Needless to say, I haven't been motivated at all, my healthy eating went out the door for the past month & I've gained back about 10 lbs. I actually went as far as thought about dropping out of SP feeling that I wasn't helping myself- so who did I think I was trying to be a coleader on my teams & trying to help & motivate others-but I've snapped out of it now & realise that I need my spark friends & have missed the communication with my teams. On top of that my grandson spent about 24 hrs in the hospital-he's home & fine now & I've spent too much time on facebook catching up with old friends there. I'm in a better frame of mind now & won't get into this funk again(I hope!) I may not be able to be on SP every single day-But I won't let so much time elapse anymore. My foot is still hurting some, but not as bad as it was & I know I've got to get this extra 10 lbs off to help it-so give me a kick in the rear for being absent this past week!

No kicks from me. We're all human and have good and bad times . . . But know that if your body is hurting, you want to respect that and ease up on exercise. And make sure you're fueling yourself with healing, antiinflammatory foods like greens, papaya, pineapple, burdock and sunchokes. Take good care!

emoticon it's easy to look to food for comfort when your body is hurting. So happy to see you snap out of it! I've had to switch from walking to biking because of pain in my hips and knee. Nice to see you pass 31,000 fitness minutes! Hang in there friend. emoticon b
