Thanks to Jessica's Mojo on the Scale I Got to Say Bye Bye to My Plateau. Well Until Next Time.

Monday, August 31, 2009

As you all know I have been at the same weight for the last 3 weeks. I didn't think I would ever get below 220.5. I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong and fix it. I went back to logging my food intake and was surprised to find out I was not getting in enough calories and my body was freaking out a little. I upped my exercise some this past week. No snacking (yeah), well not the bad carbs.

I went into the doctor's office today and told Jessica to put some good mojo on the scale for me. I need to see some progress. It was getting to me a little bit. She told me not to get discouraged, it happens. Not to let the scale rule me. I was trying but it is a little disheartening to see the same number over and over. Don't get me wrong I was feeling blessed that it didn't go up. So I closed my eyes and waited for the beep. I slowly opened my eyes and to my delight is read 218.0. That was really nice and I thanked Jessica for all her good mojo. She laughed and said it was just me and my progress not her mojo.

I wanted to thank all of my Spark Friends for their support in my first plateau. You guys really helped to keep me focused and upbeat. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Some of you probably don't truly realize how your little comments and goodies really help a person out in their time of need. So thanks again until the next plateau. I know there will be more but I will be better prepared for the next one.

Take Care and God Bless ! ! !

Wow! Surgery right after mine and stuck at the same weight - we're almost twins! lol I feel ya on wanting the scale to move. It gets to the point where it's like "Oh c'mon... 1 pound is all I'm asking for!"

That's fantastic that you broke through your plateau! You're doing a fabulous job and should be VERY proud of what you've accomplished!

Congrats!! Amazing to discover that eating more calories really helps you lose the weight. I did the same thing with my first plateau. Doesn't make sense but its the truth...

You are doing an amazing job. Keep up the great work!
