It,s the end of the week and I am tired, but thank God i made it to work,Upon starting my shift i met a co-worker whom i have not seen for a while her greeting to me was :
Co-worker :" Are you O.k , are you sick or something ?
Me: what ever do you mean?
Co-worker: You have lost weight and your face looks " GAUNT"
Me: And what does gaunted look like?
Co-worker: You know what Imean,
Me: No , I dont. I quess I will have to fine a mirror to see what
GAUNT looks like.
In my reasoning i guess I am one of those people who looks gaunt when the looses weight and have a hair cut. What are you going to do ? We all can not look like.. BEAUTY QUEENS..

I think you mean gaunt, which means thin, drawn, bony or angular. There are people who are so used to seeing you with a rounder face, they are not aware or appreciative of the struggle you are undergoing to be healthy. I don't know that they're are jealous or mean any harm. But, you need to stay focused, and not lose sight of your goal. Stay strong! Believe me, this is not the end of the comments. You will hear things like "you don't need to lose any more weight, you look fine just the way you are" or " you look better with the weight" You could respond with " thanks for noticing my wt loss. I feel so much healthier, and love the way my clothes fit me !" Don't get defensive, keep it simple, and then walk away or change the subject. Good luck!! By the way, you look FABULOUS!!!!! emoticon

Sounds like she's jealous because you are losing weight.
Some people are like that- don't let it get you upset.
