Holy Guacamole!! School has begun and I am in shock. This year, because of budget cuts, our class size went from 20 to God only knows if there even is an upper limit. I currently have 26 second graders. (They are realy just old first graders at this point!) It is such a shock because last year I had 18 students for most of the year so that is EIGHT MORE KIDS than last year. I am in a low income area with mostly second language learners so this is not 8 more students at grade level. God, I am just reeling. Exercise? No way. Food choices? Stress eating....already!!! I aim to move through next week as well as possible and then start with mini-goals....exercising once a week and tracking my food once a week and go from there. I know I'm going to get back to it but it is much tougher than I thought it would be. How are all my teacher friends doing out there?

I feel your pain. I have 2 inclusion classes. I've never taught inclusion. I'm praying and I'm trying to learn as much as possible because in the end, I know the students need all the help they can get. I have 160+ high school students. Last year, I had 190. So, I'm waiting for the other 30 (lol).
Tthis is going to be a little harder during the school year but I plan to stay on track with my food and execise, we will see.
