I started the sparkpeople months ago and was doing really well. My Mother got sick due to Cancer and I fell off the wagon in more ways than one. My Mother was my best friend and I miss her so very much. I finally am trying to realize that she is alot better of than I am and I need to make a change. I am picking up the pieces and moving on with my life in a positive way with people like you on my side.

Hi! I'm Becky. I can understand your loss. I too lost a parent (Father) to cancer. I am dealing with a cousin who is going through several things since he had a tumor removed from his brain. It wasn't cancer, but all these other things have been just as deadly. We know there's a God who can perform miricles. I haven't been on the program long, but since all this has happened I have found it hard to stay on track. I'll keep you in my prayers. Good luck on your journey.

I am so terribly sorry for the loss of your mother. I know the deep pain of losing loved ones. I lost a son,daughter-in-law, and 2 grandchildren in a house fire on 11-5-2005. I also started months ago on sparks and I keep starting and falling off the wagon so to speak. I keep starting over. I refuse to give up. We can only take one day at a time.

I'm sorry that you lost your mother to cancer, I'm sure you do miss her. You can rest assured that she is not in any pain and that she is much better off. She can't return to you but someday you can go to her.
Now you can start taking care of you the way your mother would want you to. It has taken me one and half year to get around to taking care of me again since my mother has been gone. My prayers are with you and the Lord will give you strength. emoticon
