Oh the foot!

Sunday, August 23, 2009

Here I am again, soaking a foot in epson salts before rebandaging it. Developed a ulcerating blister undera callus so they had to cut it open. With the diabetes it will take forever to heal. I am so tired of this. It seems I can't really do any walking before there is a problem. I am hoping that this time I will not react by eating that which I shouldn't. Maybe this time I can avoid that self defeating behavior. I tell my self that since i am now living alone with my German Shepherd I will have better control over the food that is in the house. When my daughter and son in law lived here I got things for "his lunch" but I have to face it. They were for me too. Now they have moved into their new house I have no excuse for having anything in the house that shouldn't be there. I know I miss them but again, no excuse.

Sending up prayers for healing for your foot. Perhaps you can think of helping your foot heal faster by only giving it "healthy" foods to help it heal.

Sorry about your foot. I hope it heals soon. I have problems with ingrown toenails getting infected. I had my toenail cut back in June and I'm doing much better.
I know the feeling as well about no excuses for having the junk food in the house, as I'm the one who buys it. My daughter doesn't. Good luck with cleaning house and getting healthier foods.
