Feeling in control again.

Friday, August 21, 2009

Wow how quickly I fell and how quickly I jumped back up. I feel so in control again. Is it ok for me to feel so good already? It feels like this should be more of a struggle. Maybe I'm still in the honeymoon days of knowing I'm doing whats best for me and my daughter, because I know the struggles will come. I was actually capable of going to the movies yesterday and didn't eat any movie theatre popcorn!!! Thats huge for me. I'm a movie buff and I relish the whole "movie experience" which always includes popcorn, a gallon sized drink, a book size box of candy and even some nachos sometimes. Well I ordered a medium diet soda and took 2 100-calorie packs of white cheddar popcorn. Worked for me!

This weekend we are planning to go to the beach if the weather holds up and I'm also going to try to get on the bikes with my daughter. We love bike riding together. Tomorrow I'm going to try to blog all about my daughter.

    Yeah, movie buffs unite!

I never got into eating food at the cinema, though. I'd always eat it before the movie started, and since AMC has gallon-sized sodas, I always have to run to the bathroom during the climax of the movie. Last time I just grabbed some fruit snacks, and that was enough to get me through a double feature.

Good Job! Baby steps make a difference.
Have you tried those cheeto brand popped corn? It is corn puffs or something, but I think it has less calories than regular popcorn and still tastes pretty buttery.
