What I know for sure

Monday, August 17, 2009

Last week was a trial of my will and commitment to this personal challenge and I found out a few things about myself, some I already knew and some I didn't know for sure. I've reworked my program a bit and I'm tweaking the nutritional portion so that I'm not being counterproductive.

>I am capable of a lot more than I give myself credit for. I was able to dig deeper and push harder than I ever have before.

>Eating clean is easy with the proper planning and preparation.

>Weak-ends (u know what I'm talking about) are not the time to fall off the wagon but if you do hop back on quick!

>Given the right mindset, I can accomplish my goals in a reasonable amount of time. I didn't put on this weight overnight so it won't be gone tomorrow but if I eat right AND exercise right (sorry, residual anger from the Time magazine article) the weight will come off before I know it.

>There are no shortcuts, magic portions or pills that can do this for me and even if there were I'd still need to do this on my own so that I'm not back in the same place next year.

Now that I've worked out most of the bugs I think I'm ready to take on the world!

Most people don't understand that there are no pills, shortcuts, etc. They think you can just easily take something and "POOF!!!" you will lose the weight. That's great that you know what you need to do and that you're willing to work hard to get it done.

I wish you well with your goals.
