Ok a little late, but here it is.

Wow, this week has flown by and I have been busy. Wanted to get this done Monday, but didn't happen. Today before I head out for weekly errands I am going to get all caught up.
First, I have been making the time to read so many of my friends and others blogs. Lots of good stuff there. Learned a couple new things about an old friend barley, also that when the road gets bumpy don't just sit down and cry, find away around them, be very careful when buying a new place and leave the rose colored glasses at home and well there is just so much more. I did get a little behind on reading all my spark email, so many good articles and I will have to find a little more time to keep up with that.
Second, I did it finally made a real exercise schedule. one I can live with and for now I am trying it out. My problem before was I am doing aerobic but little strength regularly. I picked exercises from the Sparks fitness, both demo and video, combined them and gave myself 15 minutes a day, being careful to do one group one day and then another. Right now my aerobic is mostly swimming and working in the front yard. Once the weather changes and the yard is done, I am going to do more with the treadmill and just plain but wonderful walking. THURSDAY
biceps curls with band volunteer work
triceps lifts with band exercise swimming
tricep rows with band water jogging


FRIDAY
squats with band grocery shopping
standing hip abdution with band swimming
standing hip addiction with band water jogging


SATURDAY
20-minute Resistance Band Workout garden work
dumbbell side bends swimming
water jogging


SUNDAY
skater squats garden work
standing adduction swimming
standing abduction water jogging

Third, had a wonderful mini vacation up at Tahoe with a girlfriend and also a fellow sparker, we talked and walked and ate pretty sensibly. I kept tract of food and exercise and when I got home posted it all. I was pleased to find out that i did not go over, and in mostly was under my nutrition requirements. Waited for regular weigh in and woohoo me lost weight. I was both pleased and shocked.

Fourth, I with making the plan for exercise and putting it in writing am also going to get a plan for my housework. Lately I haven't been up to snuff with it and it does bother me. With all the stresses at home dealing with adult sons and having to be very firm and tough with them, It is time for them to fly or at least make real flapping noises, I have been lax. My hubby and I have taken back all the normal household chores once done by sons, we have raised their rent and let them know that they need to be out of the house from 8am-5pm, just like normal adults. The youngest starts back to college in a week, he had about a year or year and a half left to get auto mechanic certificate. As hard as we are pushing we are careful not to push him from finishing his education. It has been a very hard time for me, I am too kind and loving and really not been the best I should have been for them. I kind of knew but still felt they needed more care, I was wrong and It does bother me a lot, yet I have learned in the last couple of weeks that they need to fall to learn to pick themselves up and grow. So now I am working hard to not be to involved unless they ask me, and this is hard, but necessary.

So all in all been a pretty hectic time. I have done much soul searching, lots of crying and fussing, probably kicking and a little screaming too. Now that that is done, I am knuckling down and getting to work on being the kind of mom they need me to be, and that will help us all in the long run of it. I have learned that you can be tough when you must even though its not the way you would normally be. The scary and painful thoughts will have to be put on a back burner for now, I hope that as time goes by they will just fade like most scary unknown things, once the light is shone on them, they aren't what you thought they would be.
I am so glad for all my sparks friends here who have given me encouragement and just let me know they care that I am out there. For the one real thing is that I really do care about you my friends. When I don't see you for a time, I wonder if all is well. When you are down, I want to give you a big hug and let you know I am here for you. When you are happy will join in happy dance with you. You mean a lot to me!! I have my dearest man by my side and dear friends nearby, but I also have and count that a big blessing too those I have met here on Sparks. With all of you together mixed up it makes dealing with both the big and the little problems easier.
Please keep on sparking and knowing that each time you read a blog and leave a little message, it encourages that person, lets them know you care. And with each time you share a little of yourself and let your light shine, your light grown brighter and brighter, so no hiding out there.....SHINE AND SPARKLE.
