Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!

Sunday, August 02, 2009

I'm glad the weekend is over! I get to pick up my son from the airport tomorrow. He was messing with me about not coming home...he's still a brat, but just grown up! He graduated from Navy boot camp in April and is finished with his schooling. He gets to come home for 2 weeks then he flies out to San Diego. I was buying a cake today for his coming home party tomorrow and I got choked up. I think we are both excited about him coming home!

I ran this morning. That probably wasn't the best idea, but I made it through. I have to give a huge thank you to KCBikeman. He jog a some with me. He helped push me through a few rough spots! He even sprinted the part of the lap with me. His son was there also. Everytime I would finish a lap, I would do the wave and yell a woohoo! He caught on and we made a game of it. I ran it in 31 minutes, not my best time, but did what I could.

I then went home ate and crashed in the recliner. I didn't even bother changing. I've lounged most of the day. I'm feeling much better tonight. No fevers! My oldest still hasn't kicked his. He is still running the 101 and 102 temps. I hope none of you get this mean little bug!

Down side is I didn't get to do my pictures this weekend. I rescheduled it for next weekend. I want to get them plus Greg and I running the Susan G. Koman, Race for the Cure.

Headed to bed!

Strong Mind, Strong Body!

I think they become bigger brats when they grow up--I know mine have, especially my sons.

Have fun with your son home! You'll enjoy your time together - 2 weeks isn't a whole lot, but I suspect you'll see lots of changes in him even in that short time! :) I *bet* he appreciates you a whole lot more after bootcamp! :)

    Cheers,
    Maya
