250 PUSH UPS!!!

Friday, July 10, 2009

I just got home from my boot camp work out. I beat my last record of 210 push ups tonight!

250 Push ups!!!! WooHoo!!!! I went full tilt tonight. I didn't hold back at all. Pat, the instructor, couldn't believe how my endurance and strength has improved. We haven't had a class in 2 weeks, so he was surprised on all levels.

I'm on cloud nine right now and need someone to tell!! This is probably the best shape I have EVER been in. Wall squats, push up (all kinds!), tricep dips, lunges, planks, jump squats, jumping jacks, side planks, you name it, we did it! I'm stoked!!

I am still feeling the 30 modified pushups I decided to do on wednesday. Every time I touch the steering wheel to turn, I feel it. I would probably die if I did 250. Great Job!

Hey, I was watching something on FitTv which made me think of you this afternoon.
This woman had been a body builder 3x champ. Well, her mom died and she lost her spririt and went to food for comfort. 60 some-odd pounds up she decided that enough was enough and she wanted to do a different kind of challenge. Not only to get back in shape (8 weeks) but to run up 15,000 stairs --- a race, not like a 5K or 10K, but something different. Well, she DID it!
Her BF% at peak performance was 6% (YIKES!) and at her all time high was 37%. She lost 30 pounds and got to 22% BF in the 8 weeks. Her goal is to be at 18% BF.
Not that her story is YOUR story, but thought about you and the BF%. PLEASE do NOT get to 6%!!! She looked like a skeleton with GREAT muscle and a layer of skin. It was TOO much!
