Yeah for Friday/New client need positive vibes!

Friday, July 10, 2009

So, I worked this morning, took back the surround sound, didn't find one I liked, bank, puppies, blah, blah, blah! Headed to the store to restock protein!!

For some odd reason, I totally forgot that I had to be at work at 6:30am in the morning. I guess no late movie for me tonight! Good thing is I get a massage at 4pm. This is over due!! I'm having to change up my schedule because of my workshop on Sunday. I will do upper body/abs tomorrow at 8am and do my power yoga class at 1p. Since we are the hosting location for the workshops this weekend, I get to babysit on Satuday! No biggy, the kids are still scattered with relatives and thier friends!

I still have boot camp tonight at 6pm. I always look forward to that! Boot camp is "me" time!!

I have a new client that starts with me on Tuesday. He ways 385lbs. He is a total train wreck as far as his health goes. He wants to do the gastric bypass surgery. Where I work, we have a therapist, doctors, dentist, etc...I sat down and talked with my new client. I made a deal with him that I would train him for free for 8 weeks. The therapist would see him for 8 weeks also for free. If we could drop his weight drastically (20lbs at least) in that 8 week period, would that change his mind about the surgery???? He has to sign a contract with the therapist and myself and fully commit to doing the program....eating and all! If at any point he decides to drop it, everything is null and void. He seems to be in a good spot to do this...he's at the bottom of the barrel and desperate!

He will be my heaviest client. I would much rather see him change his life style then to go through with this surgery. He has had multiple surgeries already. I know he can do this. I just have to figure out how to keep him motivated when he hits week 3. That seems to be the hardest for a lot of people. Weeks 1 and 2, you have water wt loss and your excited, but week 3 sometimes you have no changes. You second guess all your efforts. By week 4, you made up for week 3 with the wt loss. I think with the help of the therapist, we can push through. I'm taking this as a personal challenge to myself. Cheerleader and/or drill sergeant, whatever it takes to help this guy out of the barrel. Please keep him and I in your thoughts over the next few months. We need all the help we can get!!!

Strong Mind, Strong Body!!!

OH Pris - if ANYONE can keep people motivated, it's GOT to be you! GOOD LUCK on the new client! I'm excited to follow his progress, too! I bet he loses more than 20 in 8, though - IF he sticks to regimen.

It's a great thing you're doing for your new client. I think about where I've come from and where I am now on my weight and can not image being 385 pounds. I started at 221 and thought it was the end of the world, that there was no way I'd lose weight. I can't image what he is going through. I have faith in you and know you can help your client.
My best wishes for both of you making it through your contract. You are a very good person and I wish you only the best.
You can help him-I know it!!
