peace of mind

Sunday, July 05, 2009

i know that's hard for most of us to achieve. we are consistently bombarded with noise, noise, noise. from radios, tvs, work, outside activites. it's hard to be able to just sit still and enjoy the quiet, or take a walk and just listen to the birds and the sounds of nature.

i miss it so much, that peaceful time of just sitting reading a book, doing a puzzle or crocheting a blanket. these are the things that relax me and relieve my stress emoticon

Dee, you are right the "Grown" kids have to "step up" and deal with their lives and families like all adults do. "Mom" is ready to be Donna again and enjoy the things i love to do and "explore" my future!

I agree, sometimes you have to make time to find some. Try and set aside 10-15 minutes per day whether in the morning before work or after work (no matter the time); and just chill and relax for yourself. You need to put yourself first in order to have some peace of mind otherwise you will end up in the hospital again and everyone does not want that to happen.

Also, telling the grown kids that you will be unavailable during this time and stick to your guns. They are old enough to handle things unless the house is on fire.

    Love ya, dee emoticon emoticon
