I just want to be Healthy

My name is Debbie, I am 54. I need to lose over 100lbs. My first goal is to lose 50lbs. I figure it will be easier to reach my ultimate goal by setting smaller goal. This way won't be so overwhelming to me. I am losing to get healthy and for no other reason.
I am married and have two grown daughters. My oldest, Terra who is 33, has physical and mental problems, I took care of her at home until she was 25. She is in a group care home now with 5 other clients. I don't get to see her as much as I like to. My youngest, Erica will be 27 soon lives at home with my husband and I, she is finishing up her college and works at the Toddler Center at her college. Her goal is to get her AA in child development.
For 19 of the 36 years that my husband and I have been married he was in the USAF. I was in for two of those years but decided to get out and take care of my daughter. The first year of marriage I gained about 30-40lbs. At the time my husband was stationed in England. I loved the fish and chips and the chocolate bars over there, especially one called Galaxy, (yum, yum)
didn't take long to pack on the pounds. I had to lose weight to join the AF. Three months of that first year was basic and tech school so I did good with weight. Within four months of being back in England with my husband we were expecting our first child. I remember the midwife telling me that I didn't get a prize for going over 200lbs. Because I was close to that. So like a dummy I went on a diet and lost about 9 lbs, not a good thing for a pregnant women to do but I didn't know that at that time.
Over the years I would gain, then I would lose, each time I would gain what I lost back plus some. I have been over 200 lbs most of my life now. Once I make my first goal and set and finish my 2nd goal I will be under 200. That will be a Great Day!
