Addicted to the Scale

I am addicted to the scale! In the above pic I was at 145lbs (just 2 years ago) and on vacation with my sister (who weighs 107 lbs soaking wet). I worked real hard to get the weight off and managed to keep it off for a year until I got lazy. I am now back on track and have managed to lose 8lbs so far, but I find that I am addicted to weighing myself daily. I know this is not the best thing to do, but I cannot stop, it worked for me before and I'm expecting it to work for me again. It can be a double edge sword -especially when the numbers stall, or climb. I guess old habits are hard to break. emoticon

    I read an article that suggested weighing yourself everyday was a way to keep accountable, day over day. However, it said you should only record one weight a week. The rest of the information is your you. It might not be the best advise, but I do it. Do we need a 12 step program? emoticon

    I understand how you feel because I try not to weigh myself until Friday but I will sneak in another day which is not good because it can sometimes be a disappointment. We also have a scale at work that a use on Mondays with everyone else here for the biggest loser it has me at 176.5 whereas my scale at home shows 179 so I use this one because I'm not sure which one is correct. I'm trying to reach the point where I just weigh myself 1x a week. emoticon
