Today and every day is a new start

Wednesday, May 20, 2009

I'm a bit frustrated today. I don't understand why I can't keep up with my exercise routine? I have very good intentions and I REALLY want to lose some weight. I just seem to come up with every excuse in the book to NOT exercise.

I set my alarm this morning 45 minutes early and didn't hear it the first 2 cycles. So of course I was 20 minutes behind schedule which means I didn't get up and walk like I wanted to. So I did some sit-ups and worked with my wieghts a bit. But I am bummed.

I have been telling myself all day that I will get some type of exercise in tonight but with us camping this weekend, I am already making a list of the reasons why I can't do anything. Camper still needs cleaning, need to pack, need to go get groceries, need to do some laundry and we are leaving Friday afternoon which only leaves tonight and tomorrow night to get things done.

I WILL try and get a walk in tonight and I WILL get up early tomorrow morning and walk.
I WILL SUCCEED at this!

Right?

LOL -- of course I will but like the title of my blog says, every day is a NEW start.

I can and WILL do this!

Great post. I really like DANIGIRL's idea. Dont get trapped in "traditional" definitions of exercise. Im sure some of the things you have to get done will totally work you out. Also, be gentle with yourself. Think about working for a boss who spoke to you the way that you speak to yourself. Would you listen to 'em? If not, why not? How can you motivate yourself when guilt no longer works? Good luck!

Your doing great already! If that were we this morning I would have called it a wash and not did anything! The fact that you still tried to fit SOMETHING in means ALOT!!!

What if you clean up the camper "vigourously" tonight and use that as your cardio instead? I know when I do my house cleaning and laundry on the weekends, I break out in a sweat! I make several trips up and down the stairs for the laundry and the vacuuming and such make for a great change from my daily workouts!

Plus, you are right...every day is a new day and a fresh start!
