A day of Silence

Saturday, April 25, 2009

I lost my voice completely yesterday. It was a great learning experience.

My 2.5 year old was my spokesperson emoticon I would whisper in her ear and she'd repeat what I said. It was a fun day. I really enjoyed not being able to speak actually. Morgan has been wonderful, but I do think she misses talking. She got in my lap this morning and told me that she missed me. The only part of me missing is my voice.

The two days before my voice was really quiet. I haven't had to talk on the phone for several days now. It's been really great.

I think I have at least one more day of silence. My throat only hurts on one side now.

Oh, we did make it to the zoo on Monday. We had a great time. My daughter fed a giraffe all by herself. She's is one great kid.

Morgan seems amazing. Glad you think that you're on the mend, and that you had a great zoo day on Monday. I personally would love the chance to feed a giraffe. Stay quiet if you can, so your throat really gets a chance to heal.

I hope you feel better soon.
I'm glad you enjoyed the zoo visit, it's a great place for kids to get to know animals and I bet your little 'un loved it- especially the giraffe.
