Eating Good but Not Right

I'm happy to say that I've lost 8 lbs this month and I've been happy with my lifestlye changes. I enjoy eating more fruits and veggies. Still,
I'm struggling to increase my calories without eating junk. So, I just want to talk thru it here.
My daily diet since SP does seem straight from a book. I'm eating chicken, salads, fruits, whole grain carbs on most occassions. A benefit has been having the right foods to cook. I have also eaten out and had some wings and bbq beef brisket with the fixins too.
Obviously missing from my pre-Sparked self is B-E-E-R, BE-E-R, BEE-R, BEER! And that's been almost torture. Add the few chips or the burger that taste better with A COLD ONE, and I see my previous calorie intake tallying higher.
A benefit, has been eating on a schedule and utilizing my body's ability and need to metabolize. Sometimes its a spark of energy and sometimes I'm yawning for the next 30 minutes.
My BMI says I burn just above 2300 in a day. My daily intake has been well below. In the spirit of losing weight, I'm not taking in enough calories. In the spirit of eating healthier, I am eating more than I ever have....and its the right things.
